The exchanges coordinator of the Mathematics Department is Ömer Küçüksakallı. Please contact Ömer Küçüksakallı regarding any questions related to exchange programs.

The exchange programs of METU are coordinated by the International Cooperations Office (ICO). All the necessary information related to the exchange programs can be found on the web page of ICO.

In addition to the METU rules for exchange programs, the Mathematics Department has the following rules:

  1. Only students with a CGPA of 3.0 or greater will be approved.

  2. Students will be allowed to take only elective courses at the receiving institution.
  3. The department requires students to complete the first two years of  the curriculum before applying for an exchange program. However, if  you are missing a non-mathematics course from that period, you may  still submit an application. Applications will be rejected if you are  missing a mathematics course or if two or more courses from the first  two years are incomplete.
  4. If you are applying for a non-English institution, strong evidence of foreign language is required.

Also note that, for a course taken during the exchange program to be counted in your METU transcript, you must obtain at least CC or higher METU equivalent grade.

Please contact Ömer Küçüksakallı before applying to any exchange program.
