Title: Mathematical work of M. Yurdakul, and beyond

Abstract: We report on the work of Yurdakul in mathematical analysis done in collaboration with several co-authors. The talk will be themed around the class of Köthe echelon spaces, which arises as projective limits of usual weighted Banach spaces. We introduce a new space of analytic functions in which the monomials are a Schauder basis. As an application, by breaking up the monomial expansion into dyadic blocks of polynomials, we show that the sequence space representation coincides with a Köthe echelon space. We also treat Köthe (co)echelon spaces as locally convex algebras.
